The One Horn Priest is one of the most powerful and revered figures in Hopi culture. He is a member of the One Horn Society, which is charged with caring for the dead and guiding their spirits to the underworld. Serving as an intermediary between the living and the deceased, the One Horn is the spiritual “right hand man” of Māasaw, the deity appointed by the Creator to oversee the Fourth World.
